I know you're busy. I know how much you care about other people, supporting the ones you love, and being of service. And, I know you have work, family obligations, chores, and all the tasks of daily life to manage, too.
I know that probably means it is challenging (and downright frustrating) to make the space and time to care for yourself as much as you care for others. It almost seems like a chore in itself to make some "you time," which then defeats the purpose, right?
Me, too. After all these years, I can still lose the bubble on taking the time I need for self-care.
But to be fair and honest, self-care is often a moving target, changing and evolving as we change and evolve. Which means what used to work for us before may not work for us now. Sometimes it just gets away from us.
Do you find yourself saying or thinking:
I have to get my work done first
My kids (spouse, parents...) need my attention
I'm so behind on household chores (or work projects, or yard work...)
I can put my needs off for another day
I'm just too tired
I don't have time
My family (or friends, or co-workers...) will judge me or think I'm selfish
These other things needing my attention (fill in the blank) are just too important
I'll take care of me after I have everything else done
I'm with you - I get it. My biggest challenge is my need (obsession?) to be productive. A long time ago I discovered that my self-worth was directly tied to my productivity. I've been trying to de-couple those two for over 20 years. I've come a long way! But it has taken time and, above all, a commitment to myself. I've come to learn that I'm worth it! I deserve self-care, which is another way of saying self-love.
And more importantly, I know how much better I function and how much more I have to give to others when I care for myself. I bet the same is true for you.
As a recent example of losing the bubble on self-care, the first four months of this year were very stressful, even traumatic, for my husband and I both. My husband had Covid-19, I went through a deep and profound lineage healing journey which lasted almost two months, we both got injured, and we also entered (and promptly exited) the housing market.
So for the months of May and June we decided to prioritize and focus on our own self-care so we could heal, recover, relax, nurture our relationship, find more fun, re-fall-in-love with our current home (we didn't move), and re-establish our overall balance.
One of the first things I did was create some lists (especially for when I'm overstimulated, tired, or overwhelmed) so I don't have to think. I made lists of some of my favorite energy practices, spiritual practices, and overall self-care practices that I could choose from on a daily basis.
I also did a cleanse, some fasting, found a new chiropractor, made some adjustments to my diet, bought a new bed and pillows, rearranged my calendar to prioritize these acts of self-love, and a bunch of other things to support me.
Which got me thinking...
I bet there are sensitive souls out there just like me who need support and encourage-ment to access a deeper space of self-love, prioritize their needs as sacred, and who would love to be part of a luscious circle of self-care soul sisters!
Which is why I created Self-Care Summer Sabbatical!
This 10-week program is designed to give you tons of encouragement, support, mindsets, teachings, ideas for self-care, permission to experiment, and self-love practices. And help you create an even more personal, intimate relationship with your own inner feminine.
Plus you'll have a community of conscious women coming together with unity of purpose and the spirit of sacred sisterhood. Yes, please!
It's essential to understand that, as women, when our batteries run dry, it is actually the act of RECEIVING (not giving) that charges us back up.
And yes, it counts if you receive from yourself. Creating space and time for you to be and play in the softer feminine energies is a profound act of self-love!
The Divine Feminine is an exquisite model for radical self-care, and you can be sure She will be front and center throughout our time together, to be a model, mentor and mother-figure for our own personal inner feminine selves.
"Never give from the depths of your well, but from your overflow." ~Rumi
So What Exactly Can You Expect in This Program?
Over the course of 10 weeks from June 10 to August 19, I'll send you weekly videos, weekly emails, helpful lists, inspiring quotes, mindset practices, journaling prompts, and other yummy tidbits to provide loads of options for experimenting and to keep self-care in your consciousness. This way you can begin to shift into new habits that support and sustain you as well as fill up your tank. To help you come back into that luscious place of deeply receiving so you can recharge your battery and restore the juicy goddess that you are! (And that I bet the people in your life miss!)
During this "sabbatical" we'll also have four Zoom calls: a kick-off call on June 10 (which will be lots of fun with cool hats, ceremony, give-aways and more - plus it's a solar eclipse!), two interim check-in calls where well have some teachings, sharing, and ceremony, plus a final celebration call on Aug 19.
I totally get that summers can be busy with lots of activities, vacation, travel, and more. Or maybe just the opposite, where there's very little going on and that's just the way you want it.
Either way, I suspect you don't want your summer "overly-scripted," so I designed this program to be a good blend of passive and active support, not too time-consuming, but with enough regularity of communication that it feels supportive and encouraging without it being "just one more thing you have to cram in."
So I'm not actually asking you to take 2 1/2 months completely off from your life. (I'm sure you gathered that by now :)) I just want prioritizing yourself to be easy, fun, enjoyable, life-affirming, even luxurious!
I crafted the program so that you have the freedom to engage with the video and written content how you see fit and at your own timing and pace. This way you can work it around your other summer plans using your own personal rhythm and flow instead of forcing it into a strict schedule (forcing is definitely not a feminine energy nor a self-care activity, but going with the flow is. We'll talk more about that in the program.)
These are the things I wish for you!

It's not cheating to rely on a support structure to help you remember to prioritize yourself! In fact, it's an act of self-love to recognize you need support...and then take action to put that support in motion! The quality of your sacred work and service to others is directly related to the quality of your own personal self-care practice.
Join me on June 10 as we engage the powerful new moon in Gemini and the annular solar eclipse as our self-care send-off! Check out this short 4-minute video so you can feel into the energies of this summer sabbatical...
If you're ready to say YES to more self-care, more self-love, more charge in your batteries, and a full tank of juicy life-force energy, then register now. And please consider sharing this opportunity with a friend or family member whom you think could benefit! Programs like this are so much more fun (and you have an even better chance of enacting and sustaining new self-care practices) if you have someone close to you to do it with.
