Logistics

Date: Saturday August 20, 2022

Time: 12:00 noon - 4:00 p.m.

Location: 7200 NW Autumn Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64152 (Off I-29 and 72nd street in the Northland)

  • Please arrive early enough to unload your car, bring in your items, and get settled. We recommend arriving at least 15-20 minutes early.

  • I have a single car driveway. You are welcome to pull all the way in. Just remember you won't be able to leave until the person behind you does :).

  • You may park on the street, but please be mindful of the size of your car. Please don't block mailboxes and do park on the same side of the street as the other cars if possible so as not to create a bottleneck. Carpool if you can.

  • Come around to the back of the house (there will be signs.)

What To Do Ahead of Time

In the days leading up to the breathwork, your psyche and energy body will most likely start preparing you. Pay attention to dreams, emotions, visions, messages and signals from your body as these could be signs and important clues.

On Saturday, please refrain from alcohol or any mind-altering substances. (No smoking is allowed during the workshop.) No need to stop any prescription medications. (If you have questions, let one of us know.)

You may eat breakfast as you see fit but consider it is best not to breathe on a full stomach. You are welcome to bring snacks with you.

What To Bring

Shamanic Breathwork is generally conducted on the floor. You will need to bring:

  • A pallet for the floor (such as a yoga mat, blanket, cushioned mat, sleeping bag  or whatever you need to be comfortable on the floor)

  • Pillow(s) for your head

  • Additional pillows for your body comfort or to hug, if needed

  • Water/drink in a closed container

  • Journal or notebook

  • Wear comfortable clothes

  • An eye mask if you desire

  • Snacks

  • Offerings to the earth for the outdoor ceremony (sacred waters, tobacco, cornmeal, stones, crystals, whatever calls to you! Some elements will be provided. You are welcome to bring your own.)

If possible, keep a light to open schedule for Saturday evening so you have time to continue integrating. We'll talk more about self-care during the workshop.

Health & Safety Protocols:

  • We honor body autonomy - please care for yourself as needed to feel safe.

  • Masks are not required, but please feel free to wear one if you desire.

  • Be mindful about your contact with others in the week leading up to the workshop. If you have any Covid symptoms or have been exposed to someone with Covid, please respect the group by staying home.
